SALVATION

THE STORY OF HOW CHRIST RESCUED ME FROM MY SIN

I was not born into a Christian household. My parents were not believers, but had attended church infrequently as children. My mom is a Cajun from Southwest Louisiana and her only experience with organized religion was Catholicism. Although, she attended church on a somewhat regular basis, she had not yet experienced new life in Christ Jesus, nor knew Him as Lord and Savior. My dad’s family attended twice a year at best (Christmas and Easter) at the neighborhood Baptist church in South Carolina. I mention all this to say that my two sisters and I were not exposed to the gospel of Jesus Christ by our parents at an early age.

I was born in the Myrtle Beach, South Carolina area, to two loving, dedicated parents. I have a two year older sister that is a school teacher in Willis, Texas and a twin sister that last served in the Armed Forces for twelve years.  As kids we moved ALL THE TIME. When my parents came in to the living room and announced that we need to have a “family meeting”, our immediate response was “Where are we moving?” We moved, literally, every two years of my life until the age of eighteen. (South Carolina – Texas – New York – Connecticut – Kentucky – Kansas – back to Texas – then finally Louisiana) NO, in case you were wondering, we were not a military family. My dad spent twenty five years of his life in Corporate America.  When he moved up the ladder, we moved out of our house!  As a result of the constant change and interruption this brought to my life, I spent the majority of my childhood and adolescence in a constant drive to find acceptance.                                                                                                                                                                                 CONTINUE >>>

CALLING

THE STORY HOW GOD CALLED ME INTO VOCATIONAL MINISTRY TO THE LOCAL CHURCH

I have spent my entire adult life (twenty years) committed and called to full-time ministry in the local church. The first fourteen years God used me in the area of family ministry (next generations, students, parents, and family discipleship). Those years certainly seasoned me to all areas of church life and allowed me so many opportunities to invest in the lives of individuals who were in the process of discovering their identities, planning for the future, and raising healthy families.

God has always placed within me a desire to study and teach/preach the Word of God. An underlying call placed on my life as a result of God’s direction to serve in the local church has been to proclaim His Word. I have been blessed with the privilege these past twenty years to have had the opportunity and gifting to preach regularly in churches, pulpit supply, schools, camps, retreats, and conferences all over this country and abroad. God has allowed me to share the gospel and teach His Word faithfully in ten countries and thirty states, including Israel, Guatemala, and Mexico. To the best of my estimation, I have communicated the Bible to over forty thousand people since the year 2000. God is incredibly gracious to use us like He does! (1 Cor. 1:26-31)

My prayer is to see a generation of believers who are known for their biblical literacy, doctrinal integrity, and undeniable passion for Jesus Christ. My work is making disciples through preaching, mentoring, biblical counseling, and through living life together in the power of the Gospel.                                                                                                    CONTINUE >>>
